AAU Tryouts, Boot Camps & Open Gyms

2010 Basketball Stars of America AAU Tryouts:

In 2010, Basketball Stars of America will be hosting their Spring AAU Tryouts at 5 fantastic sites. They are Sewickley Academy, Hempfield Athletic Complex, Shady Side Academy, South Hills and St. Benedict's in Erie. We will also be using these as our 5 main practice sites this season. Players and their parents may choose which of these sites they would like to practice at. Please look below for Tryout Dates and Times.

* Cost of tryouts is $35 per player if pre-registered and $40 per player if registering in person. This is a one-time fee and players may attend as many tryouts as they would like to. All players who attend tryouts will be notified via email within 2 weeks of their first tryout whether they made a team. If they do make a team, $35 of tryout fee will go towards their tuition. Players may try out for Elite (Advanced), Competitive (Intermediate) or Starter/In House Teams (Beginner) or a combination. Many players prepare for their tryouts and the upcoming season by doing the Boot Camps earlier in the day. There is an extra cost of $30 per player for each of these sessions.

We are expecting over 1,000 Basketball Players to try out for Basketball Stars this spring! To avoid long lines, we are recommending players to pre-register for tryouts by filling out and mailing in the attached Registration Form with payment or registering online:

Tryouts @ Sewickley Academy – 315 Academy Ave, Sewickley, PA 15143 (BSA Pittsburgh)
Sundays, January 31st, February 7th, 14th & 21st and 28th:
9:30 am to 11:00 am - Boot Camp for Boys & Girls in 1st through 12th grade – extra cost of $30 per player per session.
10:00 am to 11:00 am – Point Guard Academy & Post Player Academy for Boys & Girls in 4th through 12th grade – extra cost of $30 per player per session.
11:00 am to 12:15 pm – Tryouts for Boys in 1st through 6th grade
12:15 pm to 1:30 pm – Tryouts for Boys in 7th & 8th grade
1:30 pm to 2:45 pm – Tryouts for Boys in 9th through 12th grade
2:45 pm to 4:00 pm – Tryouts for Girls in 3rd through 12th grade
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Shooting & Scoring Academy for Boys & Girls in 4th through 12th grade – extra cost of $30 per player per session.
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Elite Player Workout for Boys & Girls in 7th through 12th grade - extra cost of $50 per player per session.
