Weekend & Weeknight Basketball Programs - June 1st to 6th!

Dear Players, Parents & Coaches:

This weekend, Basketball Stars of America will begin its summer programs with Summer League Evaluations, as well as 3 Basketball Boot Camps. During the week, BSA will begin Summer League Practices as well as the Summer Weeknight Boot Camp Program. A Weekend Schedule, as well as info on joining the Summer League Program, Summer Boot Program and Summer Camps, is all located below.

Weekend Schedule - June 1st & 2nd:

9 am to 10 am: Basketball Boot Camp - Extra Cost of $35 - Skills Training for Boys & Girls entering 1st through 12th Grade (Separated by Age & Ability). Players not playing Summer League may register for unlimited Summer Boot Camp Sessions for $250.

10 am to 11 am: Junior NIT, NIT, NCAA & WNCAA Leagues - Evaluations
11 am to Noon: NBA East, NBA West, WNBA East & WNBA West Leagues - Evaluations

5 pm to 6:30 pm: BSA/MSC Basketball Skills Programs - Session #1 - This is a session run through the Monroeville Sports Center by BSA Coaches for Beginners and Intermediate Level Players. Boys & Girls in 1st through 6th Grade may attend. Cost is $95 for 8 Sessions. You may register on site at Monroeville Sports Center or by phone at 412-400-1320.

6:30 pm to 8 pm: BSA Summer League Practice for all players practicing at Monroeville Sports Center (East) - Players will be separated by league, age and ability. (Note that this practice session will be moved to Wednesday nights beginning next week!)

6:30 pm to 8 pm: Basketball Boot Camp - Skills Training for Boys & Girls entering 1st through 12th Grade (Separated by Age & Ability). Players who do not want to participate in the Summer League Tourneys and Games may attend the Boot Camps to improve their skills. Cost of Boot Camps is $35 per session or $250 for unlimited summer sessions. Weeknight Sessions run through 2nd week of August! (Note that this Boot Camp session will be moved to Wednesday nights beginning next week!)

6:30 pm to 8 pm: BSA Summer League Practice for all players practicing at Hillcrest Christian Academy (South) - Players will be separated by league, age and ability.

Thursday, June 6th:

North Allegheny Intermediate School - 350 Cumberland Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237:
6:30 pm to 8 pm: BSA Summer League Practice for all players practicing at North Allegheny Intermediate (North/West) - Players will be separated by league, age and ability.

2013 Basketball Stars of America Summer Program Information:

BSA/MSC Basketball Skills Programs - Monday nights - 5 pm to 6:30 pm - Beginning June 3rd. This is a session run through the Monroeville Sports Center by BSA Coaches for Beginners and Intermediate Level Players. Boys & Girls in 1st through 6th Grade may attend. Cost is $95 for 8 Sessions. Cost of Boot Camps is $35 per session or $250 for unlimited summer sessions. Weeknight Sessions run from the 1st week of June through 2nd week of August at 3 Locations. There will also be occasional weekend Boot Camps that will be announced. For the $250 unlimited fee, a player may attend as many Boot Camps at as many locations as they want. BSA Summer Basketball AAU Leagues/Program
During the Summer of 2013, Basketball Stars of America will be running a Summer AAU Basketball Program, featuring weeknight practices, as well as weekend Tournament and League Play, for Boys and Girls entering 1st through 12th Grade. The Deadline for the $25 Early Registration Discount is Midnight this Friday night, May 31st, so you only have 3 Days Left to Register to save $25 on the 2013 Summer AAU League Program!

The 2013 Summer AAU Basketball Program will begin the weekend of June 1st & 2nd and continue through the weekend of August 10th & 11th. The program will be split into Teams and Leagues and players will be able to choose from 3 main practice locations (North/West: North Allegheny/Sewickley Academy/Aquinas Academy, South: Hillcrest Christian Academy in Bethel Park, East: Monroeville Sports Center). One weeknight practice/skill session will take place each week at each of the sites beginning the week of June 3rd (Dates and Times will be announced at the Evaluations and emailed out to all participants). Each weekend, after the first, players will compete either in AAU Tournaments or BSA Mini Tournaments (except Father's Day Weekend, which will be off).The first weekend will be Evaluations. Note that all players that register will be able to play. The coaches will be the best of the best Basketball Stars of America Coaches at all levels! Players from BSA Spring Teams that want to stay together with their coach will have that option and new players will be added to teams after evaluations.

 2013 AAU Summer Basketball Leagues:
Junior NIT - Boys & Girls entering 1st & 2nd Grade
NIT - Boys & Girls entering 3rd & 4th Grade
NCAA - Boys entering 5th & 6th Grade
NBA East - Boys entering 7th & 8th Grade
NBA West - Boys entering 9th through 12th Grade
WNCAA - Girls entering 5th & 6th Grade
WNBA East - Girls entering 7th & 8th Grade
WNBA West - Girls entering 9th through 12th Grade

Cost: $350 per player if registered by May 31, 2013, $375 per player after. A $25 sibling or multi-program discount is available.
 
Additional Costs: If you do not have a BSA reversible jersey, you may purchase one for $25. These are mandatory, but you may use any old one you have. BSA Shorts are optional and are $25 each as well. Other optional items are available as well.

*Note: Elite High School Aged Teams Summer Program: BSA will also host some Elite High School Boys & Girls Teams this summer. These elite teams will do some more travelling and play in other tournaments outside of the Pittsburgh area. Players may try out for these teams during the June 1st & 2nd Evaluation Days. Some of these teams will be continuing from Spring Elite Teams (with some additions and subtractions). If you are currently on a BSA Elite Team in the 14U through 17U age groups, you may check with your coach or call 412-400-1320 to see if this team will continue as a Summer Team. Cost for the Elite High Teams is the same and this will be structured differently than the regular Summer Program, as it will include a minimum 5 Tournaments.

Day Camps Details:
All Day Camps are for Boys & Girls entering 1st through 12th Grade. Players will be separated by age, ability and gender whenever available.
All Day Camps will run from 10 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Drop Off will be available beginning at 9:45 am. Players should be picked up promptly at 2:30 pm. There will be a lunch break each day from Noon to 12:30 pm. Players should bring their own lunch or may purchase lunch at the camp (Pizza, Snacks, Drinks). Parents are welcome to join their children for lunch or take them out for the half hour break.
Day Camp Structure: Hour 1: Skills and Drills, Hour 2: Games, Lunch Break (30 minutes), Hour 3: Competitions and Extra Skills, Hour 4: Games and More Competitions.

Cost of Day Camps: $175 per camper per session if paid in full by June 15, 2013. $200 per camper per session after June 15. There is a $25 discount available for siblings and multi-week campers.

Overnight Camps Details:
All Overnight Camps are for Boys entering 4th through 12th Grade. Players will be separated by age and ability.
All Overnight Camps will begin with Check In the first day from 3 pm to 4 pm. Check Out will be at 1 pm on the final day of the camp. Campers will receive 3 meals a day on full camp days, as well as dinner on the first day and breakfast on the final day.
Overnight Camp Structure: Morning Session: Skill Stations and Games, Afternoon Session: Games, Competitions and Extra Skill Work, Evening Session: Games, Competition and Extra Skill Work. Note that in the August 8 to 10 Camp, most of the skill sessions will be divided up by the Specialty Camp that the Player Chooses.

Cost of Overnight Camps:
$325 per camper per session of the 4 Day Overnight Camps (July 15-18, August 5-8) if paid in full byJune 15, 2013. $350 per camper per session after June 15.
$225 per camper per session of the 3 Day Overnight Camps (August 8-10) if paid in full by June 15, 2013. $250 per camper per session after June 15

Showcase Details:
All Recruiting Showcases are for Boys entering 9th through 12th Grade. Junior Elite Showcases are for Boys entering 4th through 8th Grade.
All Showcases begin with Check In at 9:45 am. The Program will begin with Skills Stations promptly at 10 am. This will be followed by Games and Competitions. The Showcase will end at 1 pm.
College Coaches are invited to attend these Showcases. Showcase Staff will also be doing evaluations, which will be emailed out to D1, D2, D3, NAIA and Junior College Men's Basketball Coaches and will be posted online.

Cost of Showcases:
$75 per player per session if paid in full by June 15, 2013. $100 per player per session after June 15.
There is a $25 discount available for siblings and multi-week campers.
Campers in the July 15-18 Camp at Slippery Rock will be entered for free in the July 18 Showcase. Campers in the August 5-8 Camp at Kiski will be entered for free in the August 8 Showcase.

Sibling & Multi-Program Discount: A $25 discount may be used for siblings participating or one player participating in multiple program. Only 1 Discount per player per program. The Discount Code is: BSASU201325, which can be used when Registering Online as well.
